This concealed carry license course covers the following topics:

NRA Basic Pistol Course - As required by Ohio RC 2923.125 for a concealed carry license. This section includes instruction in weapons handling, NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, range safety, cleaning and safe storage of firearms; ammunition handling, use and storage; weapon functioning and operation.

Legal - The Ohio laws are presented by the lead counsel from the Ohio Concealed Carry Defense Service. This presentation is full of knowledge and information from someone who defense the laws everyday.

Mindset - In this section we will discuss the changes that happen to you when you carry a gun for self defense. FTT will help prepare you for before, during and after an event. We will teach you how to win the fight and if possible avoid it all together.

Carry Options - We will discuss the different types of carry option. We will look at the strengths and weakness of each and what is best for you.

FaTS (Firearm Training Simulator) - The FaTS system was designed to help shooter increase their marksmanship skills. We will use the FaTS system to practice safe handling of the firearm before going to the range. This system will also help us to understand shoot / no shoot scenarios by using the simulated shoot house software.

Range - Our range time will consist of 100 round shoot list designed to invoke the skills you have acquired during your training. As a Chief Range Safety Officer your safety is very important to me because of this we only train 1 student at the range at a time. Our focus is only on you to make sure you comfortable and proficient.

100 Rounds of Ammunition (can be purchased at the range)
Hearing and Eye Protection (can be borrowed at range)

Firearm & 2 Magazines
